Jae S. Yu, O.D.

Dr. Jae Yu received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California at Berkeley. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiological Optics from the University of California at Berkeley as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California at Riverside.

Dr. Yu has practiced in Torrance for over 20 years and has extensive experience in primary optometric care, medical management of eye diseases, contact lenses and refractive surgery co-management. Dr. Yu enjoys working with specialty contact lenses such as rigid gas permeable lenses.

Dr. Yu was born in Pusan, South Korea and speaks Korean fluently. He attended both Lakewood High School and Long Beach Poly High School in Long Beach. Dr. Yu currently lives in Torrance with his wife, Claudia, and his daughters, Nikita and Isabel. In his free time, Dr. Yu is an avid golfer and fisherman.
