A digital phoropter allows our doctors to provide you with better vision through more accurate lens prescriptions. The Optomap retinal scanner and Humphrey visual field analyzer provide our doctors with invaluable information in evaluating and monitoring the health of your eyes.

Optomap Retinal Imaging

The doctors at Torrance Optometry highly recommend that you have an annual Optomap® digital retinal exam.

Optomap retinal images help the doctors at Torrance Optometry to provide a comprehensive evaluation of your retina (the back of your eye). The doctors use the photos as a baseline for your ocular health as well as to monitor and treat various eye conditions such as glaucoma, diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and cancer.

Zeiss Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer

The Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer is the gold standard when it comes to documenting visual field defects. It is able to quantify the sensitivity of a patient's vision both centrally and peripherally. This is a particularly useful tool in the detection and documentation of vision loss from glaucoma, strokes, medications and other neuro-ophthalmic disorders.
